Short Biography

Dr. Bentang Arief Budiman, S.T., M.Eng. is an assistant professor in Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (FTMD), Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB). He obtained his bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from ITB in 2010 and received his master’s degree in 2013 and doctoral degree in 2016, both from Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan. Bentang handles several courses in both undergraduate and master levels of mechanical engineering, and service courses for the industrial engineering department. He also has strong engagement with many industries for research and product development, especially in the transportation sector. His current research interest is in Interface Damage Mechanics, Battery Technology, and Vehicle Design.
