Short Biography
Dr. Ir. I Wayan Suweca, DEA is an associate professor in Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (FTMD), Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB). He obtained his bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from ITB in 1985 and received his master’s degree in 1988 and doctoral degree in 1998 both from Ecole Centrale de Lyon, France. Wayan handles the courses in Basic Design of Machine Elements, Mechanical Engineering Design, Engineering Product Design, Engineering Product Prototyping, Mechanical Maintenance, and Methodology and Design Optimization. His current research interest is on Design Methodology & Optimization, Reliability & Maintainability Design, and Design for Manufacturing.
